Unfortunately thats true, the cheap non-SRT Crossfires have gears etc. that are made from cheaper non-hardened steel. The SRT has all the best materials in them and we get steel made from old oil tankers etc.


They are most probably made from the same specification steel with the same heat treatment process, any changes would be in the strength of the design, that is beefier.
How long do you think non-hardened steel would last in the drive-train gears anyway?
