Go back and check all the plugs on the wiring harnesses going in to the top of your ECU. If they are not seated all the way down, it will create that problem. I found out the hard way. Re-seat all 4 connectors and make sure they snap down tight.
Agree 100 % with dan Remove all plugs from the ECU. Blow on them to remove any dust and reset them. I had the engine light on and took it to the dealer. It was showing misfire on cylinders 1,3 and 4. The dealer called me and said the ECU needed to be replaced, but they couldn't send it to Chrysler bacause of the tune by LET. I called Jerry and he told me to do the above. I did it where the car was parked in the back parking lot of the dealer. Bingo. No more rough idle. and no more engine light.
The mechanic told me there was a TSB if cylinder 3 was misfiring and to replace the ECU. Not.
