No ice for me - There was a Shelby Mustang who would put a bag of ice on his SC in the staging lanes and then toss in the leftover ice into his reservoir just before launching - his times where no better then the other Shelby's. Plus he was adding hard water to his system and always dripping everywhere.

I would just pop the hood in the staging lanes and let the wind cool the SC down; was cool to the touch before launcing - seemed to work good enough.

Thanks.
I installed an additional IAT sensor near the factory sensor with a 2" digital gauge mounted on the pillar post that has a push button "peak-temp" recall.

The heat wrap I installed around my intercooler really paid off. It keeps the surrounding heat from the SC and engine block from "soaking" it allowing for quick recovery along with having the Johnson pump wired to the ignition switch. I can open the flow tank and dip my finger into the coolant at anytime.

I also separated the HE cooling system from the engine and built a custom "flow" tank for the intercooler when I installed the larger LET Heat Exchanger.

I think I'm going to work on a few more "cooling mods" over the next few months.
