PIC's are back up again. For good this time. Had my data transfered to a new server over the weekend. DNS change was holding me back.

The kit is the HID conversion kit by Eaglite 7000k. It was the 9007 kit for my Eclipse. Instead of buying new bulbs $$$ I just slightly modified them to fit the crossfire housing.

Searching that site further, I can see you can buy the proper bulbs (h7) I believe, so the wires exit the center, instead of the side. Making installation VERY easy to do.

I never used the factory to kit connectors. I cut the wires instead, checked what was ground and what was positive on the original harness going to the bulb. On the eclipse I soldered into that harness. With this car I just used 2 flat tab crimps. Soldered them to the wires on the kit. Slid them into the light harness, and taped it off. Cut a slit into the rubber cap and ran the wires through it.

I had to tilt the head lamps up a little bit to get further throw, as the bulbs I have are a little longer and projected slightly lower. I can now see further down the road. Reflective surfaces glow like fire for miles away. Its a great thing to have, especially if you drive at night.

I picked my kit up a few years ago from this place:

It was a group purchase for like $350 I believe. I'm sure if enough of you guys were interested, they would do one for us. I wouldn't mind going with the right kit, instead of my modified version.
