I guess the Sprint booster fixes this...is this correct? Also, I do not like the fact that when I am driving normally, The RPM's drop from 3K to 2K when the car shifts up a gear. Is this normal?

The sprinter booster would surely fix all the dislikes you are having.
That was the first mod I ever did and despite the high price tag, it was worth it..!...!
No doubt a CAI should be high on your list though.
