Re: STORY OF HOW I GOT MY ROADSTER
I love hearing the trials that you guys in the south have to go through just to get a Roadster. Up here in Michigan, now that we have had our first snow flurries, it's pretty easy to not only find just about any color that you want, but also get a pretty good deal as well.
I had just negotiated a good price on a new 2005 Grand Cherokee, which by the way is a VERY sweet SUV, and signed the papers on it. I then left my wife to take delivery on it. I took off to go back to work and her only job was to take the Jeep home. When I got to the office I had a voice-mail from her saying she had the Jeep home and had just put a deposit on a red Roadster because the lease payment was going to be less than on my Sebring Coupe. What's a guy to do? It took all my nerve to ask her if she minded if I got the black one instead. Both were equiped the same. So I am now, very reluctantly of course, driving a black Roadster. With the heated seats and the heater going, the top still comes down in November when the temperature hits 50 and the sun is shinning.
