While holding the button down, the rear should close AND LATCH on it's own. You will hear a beep. Release the button.
Then, using two hands, use the right to turn the handle 90 degrees. Use the left to slowly ease the front down to touch (don't slam it) and turn the handle to lock.
It SHOULD be that easy-if it isn't, there might be a problem.
