My window sticker for my 2005 6MT is rated at 17 City and 25 HWY. This is pretty on par with what you can actually expect to get, you will do better sometimes, never worse. I would not put 'cheap' gas in the car, yes it will still run fine, but with the amount of correction the computer has to do, you will be actually hurnting erformance and MPG, so pony up.

You are buying a $35,000 car and you must realize that, even if you can pick up one for under 10K. The oil changes are expensive ($125-$150) and the parts are expensive, but the value for your dollar you are getting is truly second to none. As 'bat' said, you buy an XF to drive spiritedly, it is NOT designed to be a commuter car. Good luck, do your research and make a educated decision, I do not want to see you on here in a month trash talking the XF LOL.
