Sorry to burst your bubble, but their interest in a trade has nothing to do with your black 'vert and everything to do with them wanting to make money on a car deal. If they're like most dealers, you'll get a lowball, insulting offer and then they'll send it off to auction house. You have a great car -- read up on it in this forum and enjoy the ride.
If you want to know if the s/c is working, push the pedal ALL THE WAY to the floor. There's what everyone calls a GO button under the accelerator that makes that car scream. If it doesn't, especially if already warmed up, then you probably have the dreaded and common s/c intercooler problem.
