Default Re: Engine baseline of 178/dual cai/fuel regulator.

When I ran on the dyno-jet, it was refreshing to see the same H/P ratings as the other; Mustang Dyno.

THe torque showed a drop in power near 5000 which I attribute to being TOO rich at that point. The DA was down a bit due to the rainy day, but the boost still hit like 20 PSIG. There were a total of 9 pulls getting the Dyno to consistantly read the plug wire signal, all were similar in shape. Heat did not seem to be a problem as 4 runs on the inerta wheels were done in a row!, in rapid succession. This was to trouble shoot the dyno hook up, everything stayed together nicely.

My next runs on the DYNO are to be with "Non-April 1st" better manifolds and a bigger pulley to see if I can get a real gains in (dyno) power.

Stay tuned, same Bat channel....

Woody Enjoy

Because the dyno is a reaction wheel style, the torque at the bottom end was not indicated as it was done from a roll, to limit spinning of the tires. Pulls were in 4th gear, though I have had and heard of 3rd gear pulls. Not sure it makes a difference, that is noticable.
