I know what you mean, those stock subs lack anything to be desired. I took all my system out to redo for the sake of weight savings. Soon to be gone are the 20lb each RE Audio 10” subs and they are being replace with a pair of New Old Stock JL Audio 8w6’s. A little custom trim ring for my enclosures and those 8’s should sound right at home plus I save over 20lbs! Next is new amps to save a little more weight. Thinking about the Alpine PDX series, I hear they sound great and they are tiny!
