There is atleast one way you can get around laser. If you sprayed a clear coat over your whole car with quantum dots then when the laser hit you it would scatter in so many different directions that a reading would never go back to the source. This would be beyond expensive, but it can be done.

P.S. I have no idea what exactly quantum dots are, just that they are some type of semi-contuctor that can be used in many different ways. Its all nano-tech and I know very little about it. The only reason I know what I know is because my brother-in-law is the CEO of one of the most advanced nano-tech companies in the world.
