I'm getting ready for Mid Ohio
It's just under 3 weeks before I head to the Mid Ohio track for my first time there. I'm getting excited and nervous. Trying to regularly look at the map of the track to get it memorized.
Anyway, the car is lowered with KW coilovers and konis. I was able to take the car to Putnam Park for a day of lapping. Only got about 70 minutes on the track, but that was OK cause my rims were bent. Had way too much vibration. So, I bought a new set of rims for the daily driver and have put my old rims from the daily driver on the racer. My back rims were not bent, just the front. The vibration is about 75 % less, but still there. Not sure if lowering as much as we did is why I feel so much more vibration. It sure is a bumpier ride.
The Stop Tech Brakes are amazing and did a great job.
So, car is lowered, has real big brakes, - 2 camber, new front rims, new Pro Sport Cups, and will be getting new front headlights so she will look real pretty on the track. Oil changed. All new brake fluid. Car to have its final inspection next week.
So, now I have to get this car on a trailer and secure it. That is the next step. I have a crew chief who has a big truck and I will borrow a trailer. This will be about 7-8 hours of towing, which is more than I anticipated. But, going to Mid Ohio is my dream come true.
I've attached some pictures of the racer to show how low she is. I think my car is lower than everyone elses. And, I've got some pictures of my new, very chromed rims which Erzer helped procure for me.
I'll keep you posted of my progress and will try to do a better job of taking pictures.
