yeah i mean and labor is a tuff one to get a good deal on. i myself do all of my own work, however i know a lot of people dont have access to the tools and such necessary so it sucks, and shops will absolutely rape you on labor costs sometimes. your best judging by past experience is to find a shop that when they see it they look and say well this would be an interesting project ive never done this before and then try to use that to work out a good deal with them. however, i honestly think the only really expense would be to have some one tune the car because average rate around here is about 150 and hour thats why i have tried to make that a priority to study.
This is why I am trying to talk my friend's shop into 'taking on' this unique project, but as you state, I am sure they knwo little to none about Mercedes tuning, so I will have to study up myself and perhaps enlist some help from the forum, but this is something we NEED to accomplish. Keep us posted on what you figure out through your reasearch.
