Agree with newCrossfire, Dentwizard/Dentdoctor is the way to go as long as the paint isn't broken. I have spent close to 400$ on dings and then I realized I had to do something.....I made a ding protector. There are pics in my gallery. You park in the "boonies" and they still feel they have to get right up next to you. The protector I made attaches to the wheel wells and is sturdy even in high wind. When it gets wet I throw it in the dryer. Its two swimming pool noodles covered in terry cloth. You want something that sticks out enough to keep their door off the side of your car. I always find an end spot and that goes on the exposed side.
The burned clear coat issue is probably better answered by Mike from Orange. My guess is that would have to be wet sanded and re shot with clear coat?
