Buick is HUGE in China and that is the ultimate emerging market. Pontiac has the Solstice and G8 and that's it (the G3, Vibe, G6 really don't matter in the overall automotive landscape). The Solstice really has limited appeal, as does any small, two seat roadster, and the G8 is a Holden. The Australian auto industry is in even worse shape than the US auto industry so Holden may not be around much longer either.
Why they don't just shoot Hummer and dump the body in a ditch is beyond me, though.
I hate to see Pontiac go. I think it's GM's best looking cars. Unfortunately, the market these cars are aimed at can no longer afford to buy one. People that like Buick still have the bunk to buy them. Soon the hollowed remains of the middle class will be happy to drive the family around in one of those little Diatsu trucks that you see sitting everywhere, but never going anywhere. It sucks watching America slowly being given away to foreign countries. Look around. Where have we gone?
