I have two words for you:

Cold Fusion



The challenge to this is to achieve it without spending more money and time than the cost and time to install a new head unit that provides superior functionality out of the box.

I admit to abject failure in this quest to have AUX inputs in the factory unit, and wholeheartedly invite anyone to try.

Having achieved a different form of nirvana, I would not now go back to the pretty little factory unit.
