Well the day was everything it promised to be and more (like hot!!). I have updated my sponsorship page with the result.

Thank you for all of your words of encouragement and your donations. A good friend e-mailed me last week to tell me that he'd heard the first 26 miles are the hardest. Turned out to be sound advice...he was right!
