Currently attempting to get my head around which MB wheel /tire combo will work as an effective spare.

MB ML350 17" wheel
Tire is ML320
Width is 7.5J / 235
Bolt pattern is 5 x 112 mm

*Will an 18 inch wheel with similar characteristics also work?

Can I toss this one in the trunk, then call it a day?

I hope this helps. If you can actually get/twist your head around the MB wheel and tire it's going to work. Use this as a guide. It takes a pretty good stretching of the neck to do this. Good luck. Let me know if this works.
