Talking Re: PTE modified thermostat

For those that are interested, I made a 172 and 180 version using stant superstats elements.About $30 or so, details on a posting that I did...........

180 is as cold as you can go, in Northern Va I throw codes at 30 degrees because the engine does not reach normal settings and MB is watching out for me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Yawn. I do not have fan speed settings changed, to do so would possibly make that an issue at even higher temps.

180 degrees is good heat for the cabin, no issue here at 20 degrees, american cars had 180 for a long time, 190 +++ is for emissions only and not the power or heater reasons.

Enjoy, and some one will show my thread soon enough, for the simple up grade, Id get a spare tstat body and mod that so that you can change back when you want or sell or what ever if your in NDakota...............

How about that stock market today, hot damn makes my week................W DY
