Sorry, couldn't resist.

I Quit ten years ago. I had a 2.5 pack a day habit. I tried the patch but was having nightmares and joint pain using them so I just toughed it out. Time is the only thing that helped me stay away from them. Every month it got a little easier to divert my desire to light up. Three years after I quit smoking I still was having dreams that centered on smoking. The urges and dreams became less frequent with time. It's a tough row to hoe. Just hang in there. And when the urge strikes find something to redirect your attention to. Cheap women work for me, god love em'.
