How about this... I lost thousands of dollars in the past 2 years because of the financial mess we are in. How about you guys send me some money to help pay my car off? Maybe I can buy the toys my kids wanted for Christmas but I couldn't afford. If everyone sent me a dollar a month I would be a lot happier. Maybe you can make a difference in my life and make me "nicer".

I think his point (like mine) is that giving money is not "giving"--- that was his fish analogy. Donating money is just a patch on the problem. If someone here could get him a job, that would be the best thing you can do for him. I would like to see someone here do that!!! ANy offers! That is how you really help people.
If someone had a Job to offer, I would think they would have. Not many are in a position to do so. However some can come up with other solutions, including a little cash or just encouragement.
