this also drove me bonkers. I switched to Rotex Gold imported from the US, they are brilliant for dust. I couldn't find a UK importer. The advantage over EBC is that they work properly at normal road conditions but the EBC generally don't work properly until they are warmed up such as what you need for competitive driving...... so my research led me to believe.

I was only charged $8 shipment for a full set and if you contact them direct they will state a low value on the package and avoid import duty. They are nice friendly people. PM me for the full details. Cost me £100 for the full set including shipping, but that was before the exchange rate went silly.
