Seriously though, what Glen said is right, but I would like to add a little more detail.......When you do the burnout, don't sit in the water and burnout. Pull up so your back tires are just out of the water (If you have a good track employee, he will help you). As you do your burnout, look in your SIDE view for smoke and once you see smoke, hold it for an extra 1-2 seconds and drive out of the burnout! Don't let off the gas when you are coming out of the burnout. You need to actually give it a little more gas while you drive out of it because the tires will want to grab.

I found the sweet spot staging the car from 1600-1800 RPM or right on the verge of the coverter wanting to lock up.
I will also note that the track prep is VITAL for you to acheive 1.7 60's. Atco is great and Glen and I are lucky to have this track near us.

We <3 Atco!
Well, thats how I do it but I sit in place and spin if I floor it out of the box. I have to let off the brake and after moving a few feet, gently go full throttle. My best is 2.xx 60' at 109.74. I even see the traction control light flashing in 2nd as I'm going down the track. I'll smoke the tires a little more the next time to see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the tips.
