I hear you I do 300 mile searches for an SRT-6 every few days and the car is becoming more rare by the day. I don't see many Crossfires on the road maybe 2 in a week if I'm lucky and I'm in San Diego. Sometimes when I'm in another car I'll see 4 in a day .....odd. Well one options which Pontiac guys did since there motors 389,400, 455 became rare is they went to big block chevy's. So quite possibly there is another mercedes six that could possibly be roughly the same size yet be more plentifull and (fuel system) comunicate with our ecu's. If this was discovered those motors could then be tinkered to hell and back while our stocks are left to sit on a stand in the garage.

unlike the chevy or fords of today with hundreds of thousands of cases there are maybe a few thousand of these motors? i dont know how many srt6 were built but there are were 2056 slk32 amg shipped to the us
