i want to bump this thread up and give some updates.
now that i have all the panels in the car and been driving it for more than a month i can tell a big difference in engine noise, exhaust, and road noise. No help in wind since i think it is our frameless windows and maybe we can align them a little tighter.
If i have my stereo at about 20% volume it drowns out all of the noise except a harley bike and at 25% it was drowned out and i am very happy with the result since i am able to drive around town at a good volume music that does not ring your eyes and still drowns out the noise around me. I have driven in downtown, rush hour, and busy intersections and it helps cut down on all the outside noise around me.
I have been happy with the overall result and feel it was worth the money i put into it also i have full audio system so you can hear a lot of rattles on the car in specific areas. The area that i focused on was the spoiler area and the 3rd brake light area top of the hatch panel. It all comes of very easily and is held on by only 3 screws in total. I had much rattle from the top hatch panel and adding one layer of damplifier pro and some ensolite foam i have totally got rid of the rattle. It takes time to find and trace each rattle but it is well worth it in the end and you car feels solid.
Another area that buzzes alot is the door panel and the area around the airbag. I have not gone back in to lay some mat on the doorskin and will add some. The doors them self have been deadened and the bass response out of the door is very deep.
Many people will ask what they can do about exhaust noise for some you can tone them down but it will be near impossible to remove all the drone.
my reccomendation
shoot 3-4 layers of spectrum spray and let it dry for 30 days before you add additional deadener but in 5 days you can install upholstery back. Then go back in and lay 2-3 layers of damp pro around the top and sides of the exhaust tunnel in the rear then line with 1 layer of luxury liner pro. If you are still not satisfied then you will need to drop the exhaust from the catback and apply spectrum sludge to the undercarriage. Overboard i know but the last step is only a last resort and i rather turn up the volume some then drop the exhaust.
