Default Re: Adding an Aux Input to the Stock Stereo

I bought a Blaupunkt London MP48 to replace the factory stereo so I could use the ipod. I also bought the ipod connector cable from Blaupunkt. Here is what I found....

The connectors in the back of my London MP48 and factory radio are IDENTICAL. This includes the connector for the ipod. I didn't try using the Blaupunkt ipod cable in the factory radio but it looks like a perfect match. Made me wonder if it would work but I never tried or bothered because I love the new radio!

The new radio plays MP3 discs that show song titles and everything on the display. The front jack is great for whatever I feel like plugging in. It has much more settings and options... including a mute button (which I personally love). The color match is perfect with the interior. It was the best 130 dollars I ever spent and took me 10 minutes to plug in and install. I ordered it from Crutchfield... no tax or shipping fees. It came with all the keys and adaptors I needed. I literally slid the old radio out, plugged in the new rado and slid it back. I didn't need to mess with any wires and I can always plug my old radio back in. I am a novice and was scared to install myself... but was easy and worth the enjoyment!
