Re: Nitrious Oxide!! Please Advise.
I have a fair amount of experience with nitrous oxide setups, while I am just learning the Crossfire's capabilities and limits , but most nitrous systems don't really need tuning for the occasional use since the juice is not a constant on setup like boost, in this case I would just get a good dry system and jet for 50-75 shot. You should use all of the saftey switches like TP/WOT and RPM and running a bit rich is better than lean.
The overall issue with tuning is if you tune for the nitrous, then the car is not tuned for when the nitrous is not in use, but I am not a tuner, even when I had my LS1 platforms another member of the crew did the tuning AND I am not yet familiar with the Crossfire's so I may be off base here.
While I haven't yet talked to TVT Design, my plans are to build a high compression 3.8L engine and install a nitrous system.
To the member who talked about creaks and pops, sub-frame connectors would cure a lot of that, though I don't know if anyone makes them for the XFire.
And to the member who spoke of Ricer's, I respectfully submit that being a Ricer is like being a Poser, Ricers put V8 badges on a V6 (or whatever is the equivalent on Japanese imports) a fart can exhaust, a big silly, useless spoiler and then drive like morons.
