If you mean 500+ HP at the crank then yes the LSX platform would do that with a good heads and cam package and tune. My last hot rod was a '99 Hugger Orange Camaro SS and made 454RWHP(dynojet dyno)with a heads and cam package designed by my son and myself, if you extrapolate that out to BHP it would be about 525HP at the crank. Though as mentioned putting the LSX or even and old school 350ci in some other vechile can be a real pain, fun but still a pain, if you want a fully functional ride. Keep in mind that laying down 400+ hp is more involved than just producing that power, other components(i.e. driveshaft, rear dif., tranny's) start to break from the extra abuse and believe me abuse it you would.

Of course a 50-75 shot of juice would not produce the breakage issues I mentioned above.
