The truth is the car owner can do whatever they want to the car... who am I to say anything. I am not a mechanic. I don't know if Nitrous is safe. I was told it wasn't safe and common sense tells me it isn't. If someone wants to take the risk of getting an extra 75 horses for kicks at the risk of destroying their car, go ahead!
The fact of the matter is that it is just a car. You guys are cherishing a depreciating asset like its the best thing ever....IT'S A TOY, and I intend on having fun with it. Its a pretty cool car, and I love mine, but the day that I get frustrated because someone wants to improve on it will be a sad day in my life.
Sometimes I just shake my head when I read threads on this forum....you are such a group of elitists, and when it comes down to it, we own one of the worst flops of modern times. Step off your chairs and cherish the car for what it is...good fun. I love mine, but it is just a car. I for one am glad the car depreciated so much...the cost is now comparable to the value.
Sorry for further hijacking the thread, but the guy didn't ask for general opinions on whether or not modding a car is a good idea, but was looking more specifically for practical knowledge from those that have done it before....that is what a car community is all about.
