Default Keeping it cool! The engine that is.

I have noticed that my engine gives off a ton of heat when I get out after a good drive. It appears as if this iengine is running and cooling as normal and the temp guage is reading fine so my question is more on the bottom cover that we need to remove when changing the oil.

Has anyone removed this permanently to let the engine breathe cool off a little quicker. The engine bay with the sealed trim around the hood seems to make the engine bay an oven.

This may be because I am in the super oven state of Florida, but there has to be some benefit in letting the bay get a little more air. Agreed we may loose a little smooth air flow uner the car but I wonder if the heat dissipation is worth it.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions?
