Just saw your post about the dings in your car. A paintless dent repair can run anywhere from about $75 to $150. per ding. They will not work if the paint is broken. I went through about $350 worth of dings before I decided I needed to do something.
The protectors are easy to make and they work. By the way I added a cotton sock to the hook that mounts on each wheel well. I was getting a bit of a rub mark from the plastic/hard rubber that makes up the hook on the bungee cord.
I had originally tried to make soemthing which attached to the car with magnets but it blew off in the wind and was pretty ugly. These are the best design I could come up with. I've used them for about two years now and no dings KOW.
