Default Re: WD-40 for throttle body

Actually guys... Spensley and Harleyracefan. Believe it or not....it worked !! I had the car running and sprayed ...what I would say...was three pretty healthy mist sprays direct in the throttle body. I admit there for a few take offs...it bucked just a little bit. But since not a repeat preformance.

I do have K&N air filters that I just did replenish with new cleaning and re-oil. But believe this "bucking" problem was pretty much before the air filter cleaning. The studder may have been the reason I cleaned them actually........

I had my doubts about it working myself. But my Xfire is a daily driver I drive 42 miles one way and admit most of the drive is divided hiway miles. I couldn't relish myself in my wife's 2008 Seabring hard top convert.....LOL. So far though it seems to help. I'd be a bit fearful about doing this too much. Like Spensley states there are other T-Body cleaners ( I don't think I've ever looked for any so I would have no idea....brand name wise what to look for). I'll be a bit more savy next time in the auto parts store ..and be sure to check.

Oh, I did put some LUCUS injector cleaner in the gas tank, I don't know if that helped any...but sure couldn't hurt !!!

Appreciate the input fella's................
