Default Re: 350 hp no problem!

Bob the problem with Kleemann is the following:

1. Too far for us - Europe means coversion rate, freight, duties and TAX !!
2. Too expensive - 11K for what amounts to what is available for the SRT-6
3. Tunability - farly limited in as much as what power you can extract from it.
4. Will still void warranty.

The more I research, the more Im realising that if youre going to do this, theway to do it is DO IT RIGHT from the beginning.

One way is to build a strong MB 3.2 short block with forged pistons and decent rods and add our cyl heads to them...perhaps port them to allow sufficient exhaust scavenging with the supercharger.

Add an aftermarket computer, injectors and fuel managment....and the Vortech blower. At almost 200ci, 400 HP per cube is feasible (330HP at the rear wheels), strong power in anyones book. Hell, even the SRT-6 puts out 330HP, which is no slouch.

IMO...I still think it will be cheaper to build a strong, stroker (408ci) fuel injected Mopar Small Block with lighter aluminium heads and back it with a T56 psd. You will easily make 450HP and 430 ft/lbs of tq in a naturally aspirated engine, less stressed and will last forever. If you want more, add a vortech to it and you will get 600 plus easily....if thats what you want. Plus its an American engine.

Set up the small block correctly....and it shouldnt affect handling too much b/c of the weight. Parts for the Mopar small block are available everywhere and your CARB emissions shouldnt be affected with this EFI engine. IMHO, this kinda swap will be more feasible once the warranty is close to expiry....but hey, STARTECH crams in a 6.1 MB V8, so why couldnt we swap in a strong Mopar small block with aluminium heads ??

Can you say KING OF THE HILL ??
