When I was looking at 2001 SLK's at my MB dealer, he had nothing on the lot under $50K Sticker. And they don't discount much at MB.

Except for the introductory years, Chrysler was discounting as much as $10K on cars, every time I looked. I looked often.

Seldom if ever saw them closer than $20K in sell price.

You are comparing a hard top coupe SRT-6 (46k) to a convertable SLK (56k) A proper comparison would the convertable SRT-6 (52k) Difference = 4k.

What did you get with your 52k SRT-6 Roadster? Well you didnt get tilt, auto dimming rear view mirror thats forsure.

The reason chrysler was discounting the crossfire is because it wasnt selling! And no one bought a SRT-6 in 2005 at 10k off of sticker. (maybe late 05 when the 06s were rolling out and the SRT was still sitting on the lot from 12 moths earlier)
People were buying other cars because Chrysler overpriced the car.
