What did you get with your 52k SRT-6 Roadster? Well you didnt get tilt, auto dimming rear view mirror thats forsure.

The reason chrysler was discounting the crossfire is because it wasnt selling! And no one bought a SRT-6 in 2005 at 10k off of sticker. (maybe late 05 when the 06s were rolling out and the SRT was still sitting on the lot from 12 moths earlier)
People were buying other cars because Chrysler overpriced the car.
You win.
But, I was actually shopping and comparing prices at the time. Still have my MB brochures with quoted dealer sell prices. Even at the $33K I couldn't do the Crossfire, although I sure wanted to. When the sell price for my new '06 went to $22K, I jumped for it. As did many.
This may prove your point but my perspective is that at $40K the roadster, backed by a failing company that just severed ties with the parts and service resource for the Crossfire, was scary.

Comparing the cars side by side is subjective. Comparing the intrinsic value is factual.

Intrinsically they were the same car. If the SLK was worth $40, the Crossfire was as well but the shaky Chrysler Badge devalued it.

If this horse isn't yet dead, can we just kill it?
