As a truck driver I have noticed the highest concentration of Crossfires are from St Louis to Oklahoma City. I call it the Crossfire belt. So it might not hurt to pass through this area. I-44 would take you through it. Pieces of route 66 come very close as well to I-44. Anyway, just food for thought.
Great point Rush. There are some isolated sections of old 66. would be good for photos and group shots.
