Use of improper towels can often be one cause of hairline scratches. It takes very little to scratch paint. I would strongly advise never using any microfiber towel. 100% USA grown cotton fiber towels are your best bet. Foreign produced towels often say they are all cotton but aren't, also the edges usually have non-cotton fibers which will scratch. I have been using 100% supina cotton towels from LAZaino for several years. They are expensive but superb. They have all edging removed. Be sure to follow the washing instructions before using them.
