Kurt,
are you going to the Iola car/swap meet? If you do, find a guy named John selling a '33 Plymouth Businessman's Coupe, all original. And share a story and a drink or two at my expense?

3 weeks ago, on my way to work, while driving up a long sweeping curve heading into the village of Iola, some clod in a silver Ford pickup blew past a stop sign on a road that intersects the highway I was on, full speed ahead, never slowed down, right in front of me. Thought to myself that if I had been driving a few mph faster I'd have been toast, a mere few seconds faster & the missus would've been reading the will. Never had a chance to hit the brakes. The only thing I remember is a whole bunch of adrenaline suddenly pumping around my body.
A couple of months ago I had a liquid manure wagon (very common around these parts) pull out right in front of me down the same highway & proceed to cruise down the road at about 5 mph while dripping liquid cow-sheet all over the road & my car. Had to take it to a car wash just to get rid of the odor that permeated the car for the rest of the day.
And so it goes...........
