Re: Warranty opinions
You're asking for opinions, right? I bought an extended for my roadster strictly because I was worried about all the cables working the softop. Four years and 32k miles, not a problem other than a TPM error light.
The SRT6 had the intercooler and sensor replaced under warranty. If it fails again, I'll go with Bosch or Ford part as recommended on the forum. Otherwise the SRT6 has been solid in the year and 6k miles (it has 14k total) I have driven it.
I'm constantly amazed by the posts from members who have these extended warranties, and the failed component is not covered. There are apparently a fair number of components, esp electrical, that are no covered. And "wear and tear" can cover a lot of failures.
If I had it to do over, I would have not bought the extended warranty. That $1400 would be in the bank as a nest egg for future repairs.
