Brakes fade much quicker with continued excessive braking. You are not likely to experience brake fade on the road, unless you are continuously bringing the car down from higher speeds. Stop and go traffic will not make it happen. After 3 or 4 one mile laps which consists of a lot of turns and requires a lot of braking, the SRT's brakes faded quickly and stopping became much harder very quickly.
