FYI, I had 295 30 19 Contis on my car and went to Pirelli P zero Rosso. They are quite a bit wider than the Contis of the same size! So much so, that I had to go from 20mm spacers to 12mm spacers so they would not rub! I have aftermarket wheels that are 1/2 in. wider than stock.
It is unlikely that one 295mm tire is wider than another 295mm tire, hench the designation. Although your after-market rims are wider, you might also want to verify the
off-set as it compares to an OEM rim. Therein might be the cause of your 'rubbing' and the need for spacers.
