I'm doing oil changes anytime the onboard computer tells me to. The longest between changes was a little over 8000 miles, the shortest around 6000 miles. The past few changes cost me $85,- (incl. tax) at Jiffy Lube in Bloomington, IL. And yes, they are using the right oil and right amount. I always get a chuckle when they apologize how expensive this oil change is because of the amount of oil it uses . And I get the car vaccumed, all fluids checked and refilled.
