Are you talking about the 3/4'' wide strip of painted metal that runs the length of the roof above each door? If so, yeah, the paint has chipped off mine on the driver's side only. The rest of my paint job is fantastic, but this looks like it was thin to start with. I've always hand washed and waxed my baby and its never faced a brush or anything abrasive that would account for this unusual wear. I'll try to upload some pics.

Any recollection on how much it cost you to have them replaced when you did that?
