Default Re: 430whp stock supercharger, no nitrous.

Because the r&d, time, effort and money will never be offset with profit from such a tiny group of owners(srt6's) and an even smaller number of people willing to purchase.

I offered modified manifolds putting down similar numbers as the NW units for less than 1/2 the price and they didnt sell. So from a vendor perspective f--- it. Few are willing to shell out cash. Hell no ones even done cams yet. No one is near 400whp, and those who have claimed it have yet to show dyno sheets. 430 is a joke, dont get me wrong with enough $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ anything is possible but ya may as well buy another car at that point. Next best thing going is the turbo setup Jake is working on but we will see what it does in the real world(1/4 mi).

FWIW i do agree with you the next logical step is to mate a bigger/better supercharger up........but im not holding my breath on that one.

BTW, what ever happened with all that talk of torque converters? Shouldnt everyone be running mid 11's now?

I hate to bring up some old stuff, but the article from the Thailand tuner had a larger whipple supercharger installed on a C32. The article was posted on the MB board and again here by me in late 2007 or early 2008. He had found away around the electronics and the magnetic clutch and installed the larger supercharger to keep up with the increased displacement from the 3.7L V6 he installed into the C32.

I know you can do anything for $$$$$, but if guys are willing to shell out $1200+ for mani's and $800 for a dual cai intake, I really think this is possible....and a cost effective mod....again this is based on everyone in the know saying the current supercharger is limiting (too small).

I could be way off base and full of crap, but it is a thought.

Not to ramble on too much more, but we do have the cooling mods down, not question, thanks to Woody and NeedsWings, a proper dual CAI, now we need a supercharger that can produce higher boost levels more efficiently without all of the excess heat...

just my $.02

Cheers,
