The physical orientation of the switch has nothing to do with the function of auto down. If they are flipped around, it's because someone put the caps on upside down. I'm sure it was a day shift/night shift deal where the guy popping the caps on at one time was doing it opposite to that of the other guy and after they caught the mistake, it was easier to just sort them out as they were installed and make sure the car had a matching set and not one front-down/back-up and front-up/back-down. BTW, no way to make these do auto up. tried and failed miserably having to replace both window switches so the LED intensity was the same as well as the control module because I fried it. It's a resistance thing and let me tell you, you can make some pretty weird **** happen by varying the resistance to ground on the signal wire.
