Dubbin is like a shoe polish, and comes in at least black or neutral. I just happened to have a tin of the neutral hanging around, so i tried it. The tin states "for waterproofing, softening and preserving of leather footwear, boots, jackets and sports goods". I use it on my m/cycle jacket.... Figured it couldn't do any harm

And cheers - yes my girl. Managed to find an unlocked gate which gave me access to the river's edge
