Cool Re: AC Smells Horrible? please help!

To get back onto the A/C smell... Most cars develop a smell from the condensation build up left in the system when the car is turned off after the A/C has been run. The bacteria love that environment, dark and wet. Here in California it is quite common since everyone uses their A/C a lot. The easiest way and most effective way to get rid of the cat pee smell is to get an anti mold & anti bacterial spray at the local auto parts house. It is designed specifically for car A/C smell and is found in the A/C section.

It is designed to be sprayed into the vents. Be sure to spray plenty of it into the each vent, but mainly into the vents by the glove box. It needs to drain down into the evaporator and kill the bacteria in the main area of the A/C box. Since the Crossfire has the extra feature of the system run when the key is off, use it. The smell of the anti-bacterial is strong too. Hit the recirculation button and walk away. Next time you use the A/C there will be the residue of the spray, but it's not bad. Do this once a year and everything will be peachy...or at least not cat peechy!!

Now go be Kuhl...
