In 2002 I sold my 15 year 87 Volvo 740-GLE with 250,000+ miles on it. The car looked and ran like it had 30K miles. I hated to get rid if it, but had no where to park it, and frankly I just wanted a new car. I often wonder how much longer I could have driven it trouble free. I know for sure I would have had over 350K miles on it by now. I asked the couple who bought it, if I could have first right to buy it when they would get rid of it, but have never heard back from them.
