I'm in. (have no idea what a GTG is, though).
I used to live in Port Isabel (across the bridge), and we loved the island (once the crowds left
). We're now in Harlingen, and unfortunately can't spare the time to head out there like we used to.
A potential issue would be Where to Meet. There are not too many decent-sized parking lots within the city limits depending on how many cars actually show up, unless you are looking at the Convention Center.
For those NOT used to southernmost TX weather, FYI, August/September are some of the hottest days with ridiculous humidity.
